Sipadan-Kapalai

• Package minimum qualification requirement: PADI OPEN WATER certified or equivalent.

• Minimum diving certification level of AOW (or equivalent) to dive in Sipadan. One dive permit allows TWO (2) dives.

• The cost of one permit is RM450/person to enter Sipadan and this is NOT included in the package above.

• IMPORTANT: Please bring your certification card for Sipadan permit verification purposes.

• RM980.00 for additional Sipadan diving day (including Sipadan permit).

• For stays of 7 days and above, entitled to complimentary Likwid drone photography + videography services.

Both packages include:

• Transfer from Tawau Airport to SEMPORNA and return. (70 minutes)

• Transfer by boat from Semporna(KAPALAI private Jetty) – 40 minutes to Kapalai resort and return(on SIC basis).

• Accommodation on twin sharing basis.

• Fresh Buffet Meals – breakfast/lunch/dinner.

• Afternoon snacks – served at the restaurant daily.

• Tea / coffee, cold water and cordial – served throughout the day at the restaurant daily.

• Snorkel around the resort.

• Single / Solo traveler is subjected to Single Supplement for OWN CHALET with NO SHARING option. (Single Supplement rate: additional 30% from the above package rate)

• Group Travel Option – ONE (1) pax FREE for every NINE (9) paying pax adults (Subjected to same arrival and departure flight and time, FOC pax subjected to SST)

• 5% off from the package rate for sharing 3 adults in a chalet

• 50% off from the Non-Dive Package (ND) rate for non-diver child from 2 to below 12 yrs – sharing room with 2 adults.

• Infant 24 months and below is chargeable at 10% of Non-Diver Package (ND) rate

• Junior Diver (Child Diver) rate is based on Diver Package (D) rate

For diver package only:

• 3 guided boat dives daily – except on arrival & departure day with no dive allowed within 24 hours prior to departure flight time

• Tank, weight and weight belt are provided.

• Unlimited house reef dive in front of Kapalai Dive Centre*.

• Night dives in front of KAPALAI Dive Centre - for diver with night dive experience only*.

• (*Unlimited dive and night dives are unguided dive & must be accompanied by buddy)

Note:

• All prices quoted above are in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) and EXCLUDES of Semporna Jetty Fee* and the TTx (Tourism Tax)

• Jetty Fee (inclusive SST) - RM 10.00 per person (payable to the Municipal Council of Semporna) - implemented since 2012

• TTx (Tourism Tax) – RM 10.00 per room per night (payable to the Royal Malaysian Customs Department) –implemented since 1st Sept 2017. (Sipadan-KAPALAI Dive Resort is an authorized agent to the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) to collect Tourism Tax(TTx). This tax will be collected at the resort)

• Kapalai has no other room category and allocation of room is based on RUN OF HOUSE (ROH) basis. (choosing of room by number will not be entertained).

• Honeymoon / simple decoration (setting on arrival day only) in the chalet is chargeable at RM 150.00 per setting (inclusive SST).

• Combining Diver Package(D) and Non-Diver Package(ND) is not allowed (diver has to decide between Diver package (D) OR Non-Diver package (ND) throughout their stay).

• To purchase Diver Package, one must be a certified/licensed diver.

• No pregnant woman are allowed by boat to Kapalai Resort

• No diving allowed within 24 hours prior to departure flight time.

• Snorkel by boat is not available

• Diver guest are encouraged to bring along their own equipment otherwise opt for rental from Kapalai Dive Centre.

Semporna Private Jetty to Kapalai Resort: 09:30 am and 12:30 pm

Kapalai Resort to Semporna Private Jetty: 11:00 am and 13:30 pm

Additional fee will be charged for unscheduled transfers.

Land Transfer Time

From Tawau to Semporna: 08:00 am and 10:30 am

From Semporna to Tawau: 12:30 pm and 14:30 pm

Insurance

We recommend that if you intend to go scuba diving, make sure you have an insurance policy that covers this activity. We strongly recommend that all guests take out adequate travel insurance covers accident, loss caused by cancellations, loss of luggage, personal property, medical expenses, medical evacuation and weather disruption / cancellations (including activity cancellations). Guests intending on participating in diving activities must ensure their insurance covers them for SCUBA related activities and has appropriate 'depth ' coverage.

Note:

After commencement of service no refund in part or full will be made (in cash equivalent or vacation price reduction) for unused services / activity for voluntary modifications made by the traveler. When a guest fails to complete a dive, dive course or fails to participate in pre-booked or packaged activities for any reason (including ill health), they will still be charged for the package. For example, if a guest books a package which includes 5 days of diving and on the third day they abort their first dive because of any reason, they will still be charged for the package and are advised to make a claim on their travel insurance if applicable.

If a booking cancellation is received by us prior to the final payment date of your vacation, the non-refundable deposit payments will be retained.

In the event of cancellation after full payment, no refund will be made. However the guest is allowed to postpone to any date based on room availability, within the same year of travel date.
