Humantay Lake

Humantay Lake, situated in the Andes Mountains at an altitude of approximately 4,200 meters (13,780 feet), is accessible via a trek lasting around 1.5 to 2 hours. The lake's stunning turquoise colour comes from glacial meltwater, offering a picturesque backdrop against the surrounding snow-capped peaks.

• Departure: 3am (we arrive before the crowds)

• Hike: 1.5-2h uphill, 1-1.5h downhill

• Difficulty: Moderate to difficult (option to rent a horse)
